Dallas firefighters injured after fire engine goes off overpass

Four Dallas firefighters are in stable condition after their fire engine went off an overpass and landed on a railway commuter line

DALLAS — Four Dallas firefighters were injured after their fire engine went off an interstate overpass and landed on a commuter railway.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. on July 21 at the I-345 and South Good Latimer Expressway interchanges, WFAA reported.

Dallas Fire Rescue officials said the firefighters were transported to Baylor University Medical Center and are in stable condition.

Photos of the crash posted to social media show the fire engine on its side as firefighters worked to remove the crew inside.

The cause of the crash and if other vehicles were involved is unknown.
