N.C. firefighters respond to car crashing through high-rise parking garage wall

Charlotte firefighters worked to stabilize the car on the ninth floor and keep it from falling

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A car dangling from the sixth floor of a parking garage on North Church Street near West 6th Street in uptown Charlotte shut down several roads on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred just before 8 a.m. No one was in the vehicle, the Charlotte Fire Department said. The vehicle went through the guardrails of the parking garage, WSOC said.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle after about 40 minutes.
